Choosing a Pool Company
It's hard to let go of control and trust your beautiful backyard to a team of pool installers while you're away at work. You're investing a lot of money and valuable real estate to do this, so you want to make sure the pool company you hire to do the work is reliable.
First and foremost, interview several pool companies. You can price shop among the contenders, but remember, the cheapest is not always the best. The old adage, "You get what you pay for" continues to stand the test of time for a reason. You want to look for other qualities like duration of installation, beginning to end, whether they'll need access to your home while you're away, any extras they throw in, and of course, your ever-important gut instinct.
Choose a pool company that you feel some rapport with. Your gut feeling is usually very accurate, so if you walk into one place and feel uneasy about your interaction...keep looking. Nothing is worth putting your home and this huge financial investment at risk.
Another thing to look for is a pool company that might include landscaping. A pool installer that has an eye for how your flora is going to look in relation to the pool is one with comprehensive knowledge that will serve your backyard well. These people can tell if positioning your pool under the elm tree will result in an excess of helicopters clogging your filters, or if the new hibiscus garden will result in an influx of bees.
