Inground Pool Alarms

One of the best trends in inground and above ground pool safety to emerge in the past few years is the smart pool alarm. This device, now being mandated by some counties on all new, remodeled, or public pools, is being installed at a rapid pace on in ground pools everywhere.

The premise is this: if you are going to intentionally enter the pool, you would manually enter a code that would allow for wave movement. Otherwise, the pool alarm is activated at all times. It can sense when there is unauthorized pool entry by the size of the waves. This sets of a very loud alarm outside of the house. The alarm can also be set up to sound inside the house as well. Most people with pool alarms say that it can even be heard by a neighbor or two. But alarm makers say that's the point: get everyone in a close radius to the pool as soon as possible because it could be the matter between life and death.

Pool alarms will not only notify parents and neighbors if a child has fallen in, but also notify pool owners if a larger animal has fallen in, and hopefully be able to prevent any damage to the pool a scared deer might be capable of causing. On public pools and hotel pools, it can notify personnel that there is an unwanted intruder, saving thousands in liability issues, and more importantly, keeping the pool monitored and safe at all times.

Pool alarms can range in cost, depending on how extensive you want their system. But nothing can compare to the cost, both financially and emotionally, of an unsafe pool. Invest in a pool alarm.
